My parents and I love the graphics and the fight scenes but the rest of the could have been better

I was so excited for this show but man was it a disappointment for me. I thought episodes 1&2 were ok. Nothing blew me away but it got me to tune into episode 3. Episode 3 had me so bored I just played it in the background while I did something else. I felt 4 was better than 3 but not by much. 5 was my favorite episode, mainly due to the lightsaber fight. 6 was about the same level as 4 for me. I ended up just turning off 7 about 20 minutes in. I didn’t even bother with 8 after seeing reactions to it online. Won’t go super deep into spoilers but let’s just say the whole born without a father thing isn’t the only canon breaking part of this show. Star Wars Theory has been my main source of Acolyte related news/stories if you wanted to get more knowledgeable without committing to watching the show

People said the last Jedi was the death of Star Wars, but this show makes the sequel trilogy look like LotR lol

I still have Samsung HD-DVD player that has a DVI ouptput on back. But I lost its remote years ago.

Three main cons that I noticed on 4k uhd discs. First is the Price. Too expensive. Company are prolly doing this on purpose so they can get rid of the physical disc and move to streaming platform which will save them money because they don’t have to mass produce physical disc anymore. Second is the movie transferred. Not all 4k movies have good transferred. Some of them have horrible pictures quality. Which will force collectors to buy regular Blu-ray. And lastly, why are biggest flops/failed movies have the best transferred? WHY? I need an explanation!

Great video. Is the 4K version of Terminator 2 really so bad, that getting the bluray version instead is recommended? Also, how is the 4K transfer of the Matrix movies? Particularly the first one?

i have 350 hd-dvd's and 0 regret, when the 2 were out the active x controls pissed all over blu rays,, i had a ps3 and movies would take ages to load . slow boring menus,, where the hd-dvd was very zippy. also i have a proper hd-dvd player,, not this xbox add on.. even back then hd-dvd collectors would call this add on rubbish.. the biggest problem honestly with hd-dvd now is the warner discs.. and the same goes for a bunch of my old standard dvds and who knows it might happen to some of your fancy steel books,,, disc rot is a bitch,, u cant see it,, it just creeps up and one day your watching a movie and it hits you and theres nothing you can do about it,, just chuck it out.. omg: now hes just ripping the disc and missing out on the things it did better than blu ray.. the active x was the key to its awesomeness,, it did pip in its first year interactive menus,,, choose your own adventure instant chapter swtiching,, shit u dont even see on modern 4k discs.. cause the software side was built by the xbox team..

hd-dvd are kinda just there the same way 4k discs are just there... to be watched..

I remember buying the drive and around 10 movies when it was going to be discontinued. I paid like $2-5 for each movie and drive was like $25 at fry’s. Then a few years later I sold everything on eBay for $100 lol

The USB ports on the back, 1 was meant for the wireless adapter for the 360 since you would be using the USB port it would normally use. The 2nd free port then, was merely a bonus. I was one of the lost souls who bought an HD DVD drive before the format died. I, however, bought my 360's HD DVD drive for $50. Since the movies still work, I usually buy them whenever I find them in the wild.

I've noticed that prices from Boutique labels have been quite high and very rarely drop in price or sometimes go up in Canada. Even the US through Amazon is high even after a year of release (Wrath of Man Shout for example). I agree that steelbooks should always be pre-booked. La Femme Nakita is over $60 the next day it released because they were all bought up and resellers mark them up. And there isn't a standard edition.

Good video. This year, after all these years of streaming, I decided to go back to physical media. The best! I purchased the Panasonic ub420- price was $249. Great! It works does the job and has the cinema chip, not atmos supported. After purchasing about 20 4k movies, I realized I should’ve went with the ub820, but that’s ok, 420 was in my budget, that eventually will go down to the other room when I upgrade. Did buy a lot of 4k movies when criterion, kino, and Amazon had their sales. Some movies at $7 highest was criterion at $25 which was half off.

It's important to note the 4k hdr release does not always look better. Pirates of the caribbean is a perfect example of this.
